Making a difference in young people's lives while having fun

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Savannah put on a little Christmas party for their kids Thursday night.

It was a chance for children in the program to meet one another and fun with their bigs, with games, food and, of course, presents.

"This is a perfect opportunity for us. Some of our kids don't have anything and we want to help them in their Christmas, but it's also time for celebration. They've worked so hard during school and they're doing well," said Executive Director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters, John Kendricks.

This was the first year the program has been able to sponsor its own Christmas party.
