RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - A group of students in the Lowcountry are spreading some holiday cheer.

The Hardeeville Hand chimers played a number of Christmas tunes for elderly residents at the Ridgeland Nursing Center. The Hardeeville Elementary fourth and fifth graders have been learning to play for several years thanks to help from members of the Sun City Hand Chimers group. Students say they enjoy sharing their talents.

"Makes me feel good because you get to play in front of the elderly people and it makes you smile when they hear the music you play."

Before performing at the nursing home, the group played at the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport.
