GARDEN CITY, GA (WTOC) - The kids at Garden City Elementary must have been really good this year, because someone gave the school a check for $2,000.
The school has no idea who the generous person was.
The principal said he received a phone call while in his office from a person saying they wanted to donate the money.
"I had just finished doing some home visits with our social worker, Jeff Baker, and we had been out into the various neighborhoods of Garden City and I remarked there were certainly some families that needed some assistance during this holiday time with the recession," said Principal Patrick Rossiter.
The sleigh will pull out from the elementary school Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. to purchase toys for the boys and girls.
