POOLER, GA (WTOC) - It wasn't your average wait staff serving up orders at the Chick-Fil-A in Pooler Tuesday night.
Celebrity chef Jamie Deen, Pooler's Mayor Mike Lamb and Savannah Christian's Headmaster Roger Yancey brought out the chicken.
With every penny they earned, they helped Erin Fray in her fight against breast cancer.
"About a year ago, Matt and Erin came to work for us at the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler. They've been a tremendous blessing to us over the last year and so as we heard the diagnosis that Erin has breast cancer, it was just really easy for us to want to care for them," said Senior Pastor John Fender.
"This just shows how Pooler comes together and the entire community to help someone like Erin who's battling this cancer," said Pooler Mayor Mike Lamb.
