BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - The Christmas will be a bright one for many families in need in the Lowcountry thanks to the community.
Over the past couple of days, the Salvation Army in Beaufort has turned into Santa's toy shop. The store has been filled with all kinds of toys and bikes. This Christmas, they are helping more than 6,000 needy people.
Many of the parents or guardians of the children get to come to the toy shop and pick out the toys for under the tree. They also get a gift card for groceries.
