Mega Millions jackpot hits $123M

ATLANTA – The jackpot for Friday's drawing is an estimated $123 million after no ticket matched all the winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing, according to the Georgia Lottery.

A second-prize ticket sold in Georgia for Tuesday's drawing matched five numbers, but not the Mega Ball, which is worth $250,000. That ticket was purchased at Fastrac Convenience Store at 1281 Blackshear Highway in Baxley.

For Friday's drawing, any ticket that matches all five white ball numbers, and the Mega Ball number, could win an estimated $4.7 million a year for 26 years with the annuity option. Or a player could select the cash option and win a single payment worth about $78 million.

Any Georgia Lottery retailer that sells a winning Mega Millions jackpot ticket can earn $25,000. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold in Georgia, the retailers selling the winning tickets will share the $25,000 retailer incentive bonus.
