EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - The Effingham Sheriff's Office and the Savannah-Chatham Narcotics Team arrested 38-year-old Richard Earl Driggers during the execution of a search warrant Wednesday evening.
Investigators seized seven firearms and found a large amount of ICE, marijuana and imitation roxycodone. "Ice" is a large crystal form of high-purity methamphetamine hydrochloride and resembles chunks of ice, shards of broken glass or rock candy, according to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
Driggers was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of counterfeit substances and possession of marijuana.
Driggers swallowed an unknown amount of ICE and was taken to the hospital for treatment before he was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
