Tattnall County fire ruled arson

COLLINS, GA (WTOC) - Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John Oxendine says a fire that destroyed a home in Tattnall County is arson.

The fire happened on December 14 around 11:30 p.m. at SW Church Street. The fire caused an estimated $200,000 worth of damage. No injuries were reported.

Oxendine is asking anyone with information about the fire to call the Arson Hotline at 1.800.282.5804. Rewards up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Oxendine's Arson Unit is assisting the Collins Police Department with the investigation.
