Should Santa be put on a diet?

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The American Dietetic Association is encouraging children to leave healthy treats for Santa.

According to the American Dietetic Association, if Santa drinks a glass of whole milk and eats two butter cookies at every American house he visits, he will consume more than 7 billion calories and more than 3 million grams of fat in one night.

Alternatives include low-fat milk and graham crackers, yogurt mixed with fruit and cereal or chopped vegetables. For more suggestions, visit
