BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - It's not a sleigh, but Santa did make his rounds on a fire truck thanks to some help from Burton firefighters.

"Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas," said Al Wilson, a Burton Firefighter, who plays Santa.

After they make the announcements from the truck, the children are outside their homes in no time at all to get a glimpse of Old St. Nick.

As Santa makes his way through the neighborhoods, he checks his list twice, giving out a few little goodies before the big day.

It's a Christmas tradition, Burton firefighters look forward to each year.

"The chief and all of us just love to give something to the kids," said Wilson. "The kids love seeing Santa every year and we get excited abut it. We have a great time and we run through every single house in our district and we try and meet as many kids as possible."

"Just to see the kids smile, it touches the heart," said firefighter Tom Cooper.

They're also spreading Christmas cheer throughout each neighborhood.
