FORT STEWART, GA (WTOC) - On January 17, the speed limit on GA Highway 144 West and GA Highway 119 will change from 55 m.p.h to 45 m.p.h.
Also the speed limit at the Gate 5 intersection to Pass and Permit on HA Highway 144 East will change from 45 m.p.h. to 35 m.p.h.
A new traffic light has been installed in the vicinity of Austin Road on GA Highway 144. The traffic light is intermittently operational now.
Fort Stewart officials are encouraging motorist to exercise caution in the new 4th IBCT unit area because of increased traffic flow.
