JASPER COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - Most of the time when firefighters talk about fireworks it's all about safety, but one volunteer fire department is selling fireworks. Volunteers from the Levy Fire Department do it every year to raise money for their fire station.
"It helps raise money for additional equipment, additional funding that supplements our funding that we get from the county. We try to sell fireworks and teach firework safety and just raise money for the fire department," said Aaron Saxon with the Levy Fire Department.
This is their eighth year selling fireworks. They have a stand along U.S. Highway 17 near the Talmadge bridge from now until January 1.
