JACKSONVILLE, FL (WTOC) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have only a slim hope of making the playoffs this season after last Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins. They need to win at Houston and hope that Indianapolis loses to Tennessee, not a likely prospect.
Even if the Jaguars make the playoffs, they will have to proceed without quarterback David Garrard. He will have surgery Thursday on the middle finger of his right hand, injured two weeks ago in a loss to the Colts. Garrard woundn't be ready for a first round game, but could possibly play in the second round.
Trent Edwards is expected to start Sunday for the Jaguars, although Todd Bouman is still on the roster and he started earlier this season.
