SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – The Department of Human Services has new permanent county director for the Chatham County Department of Family and Children Services.
Walthour is a Savannah native and 30-year veteran of the Department of Family Services, beginning his career in Chatham County and working in various capacities. Before his interim appointment in Chatham County in January 2010, Walthour was the director of the Bryan County DFCS, according to DHS.
Maureen A. McFadden has been named the new deputy director of the Chatham County Department of Family and Children Services. She had been the social services program director at before taking the new position.
