SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - If you were driving along Abercorn Street or Highway 17 on Thursday, you may have caught a glimpse of something furry driving down the road.
Folks visiting St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital on Abercorn Street got more than a glimpse, as they took pictures and examined an old-school Ford truck, decorated bumper to bumper in all kinds of animal skins, from raccoon and deer to alligator and snake. The driver was just visiting a patient at the hospital, while outside, onlookers could not stop staring at his ride.
"It's beautiful. It's different. It's country. Yeah. That's all country," Shanda Rivera, of Savannah, told WTOC.
Hospital officials say the truck was not part of any protest, but it certainly created a spectical in the parking lot. Even police officers took a closer look at the unique vehicle's assortment of skins.
