Habitat for Humanity seeks new homeowner applicants

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity is looking for new applicants for its 2011 Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program.

Those residents in Savannah/Chatham County that are interested in applying to the Habitat Homeownership Program are encouraged to pick up a pre-qualification application.

The applications are available in a box outside the organization's offices at 1106 East 70th Street from Jan. 10 to17. Applicants must return the completed application to the Habitat Savannah offices by 5 p.m.  Jan. 17. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

The applications will be reviewed by the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity volunteer Family Selection Committee. Qualified applicants will be contacted in late January and invited to attend informational meetings in mid-February for further consideration, according to Habitat for Humanity.
