Sanitation magnets delivery to wrap up this week

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - By the end of this week, 2011 Sanitation magnets from the city of Savannah should be delivered to more than 60,000 customers.

The magnets are targeted at specific regions of the city and give residents a one-stop guide to their neighborhood's trash, recycling, yard waste and bulk item pick-up days for the entire year, according to the city.

Resident who did not receive their magnet can call 311 to request one at no cost.

    With Chief Mark Revenew now keeping an eye on the streets of Savannah, the City of Pooler is left without a chief. And as the City works to fill that role, they have set a temporary replacement. Pooler Mayor Mike Lamb tells WTOC that Pooler's Deputy Major Jim Ward will serve as the Interim Police Chief.

    The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport passed its 2016 annual numbers by 12 percent in 2017 breaking another airport record.
