Two suspects shot while forcing way into home

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - Beaufort County Police officers are investigating a shooting that happened on Tuesday, January 4 on Polk Street.

Around 11:30 p.m., police say two suspects burst into a home wearing bandanas over their faces. The suspects knocked on the door and when someone answered, they forced their way inside the home. Police report that one suspect was carrying a rifle and the other was carrying a pistol.  A 22-year-old man was at the home as a guest and fired at the suspects. The suspects fled the scene on foot.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office captured one suspect, 24-year-old Lucas Morgan, in a wooded area off of Boundary Street. The second suspect, 25-year-old Darryl Pryor, was located in an emergency room while being treated for a gunshot wound. Pryor was transferred to another hospital. His condition is unknown.
