SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A winter storm watch remains in effect from late Sunday night through Monday evening for Screven County, Ga., and Hampton County, S.C.
A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulation that may affect travel.
Accumulation of an 1 inch or less of snow and sleet with perhaps up to 1/4 inch of freezing rain is predicted, according to the National Weather Service.
It is expected starting at about 4 a.m. Monday and continuing through late Monday.
Dangerous travel conditions are likely to develop into Monday evening.
Power outages with downed trees and power lines are possible where the more significant amount of ice buildup occurs.
