- ON WEDNESDAY: All Screven County schools will be closed again Wednesday due to power outages, according to the superintendent's office.

- ON TUESDAY:
David Emanuel Academy will be closed on Tuesday

- ON TUESDAY: Growing in the Son Preschool at Savannah Christian Church is closed Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: Beaufort County Schools will be on a two hour delay again on Tuesday January 11 for all  students and staff.  Bus riders will be picked up two hours later than their normal reporting time. Staff will report two hours later than their normal reporting times.

- ON TUESDAY: Hilton Head Christian Academy students are to report to school Tuesday at 9:00AM due to road conditions.

- ON TUESDAY:  Savannah Adventist Christian School in Pooler follows Chatham County schools and will open late. Classes begin at 10:15 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Terry's Child Care and Learning Center will have a two hour delay for Pre-K only.

- ON TUESDAY: Risen Savior Lutheran Church & Preschool closed for today due to weather.

- ON TUESDAY: Bible Baptist Christian Academy, Statesboro, follows Bulloch County Public Schools

- ON TUESDAY: Bulloch County Schools will be open Tuesday on a normal operating schedule.

- ON TUESDAY: The Laurel Bay Schools will be on a 2 hour delay on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Students should report to school by 10:00 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Faith Baptist Christian Academy-Ludowici Campus & Jesup Campus-will be open for school on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at normal times.

- ON TUESDAY: The Learning Treehouse (main location) will be open for regular business hours. The Learning Treehouse Too will be closed in the morning but will open after lunch for regular afterschool hours.

- ON TUESDAY: Classes for USC Beaufort will begin at 10:30 Am on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011. Classes scheduled before 10:30 AM are canceled.

- ON TUESDAY: Growing In The Son Preschool at Savannah Christian Church is closed Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: SCAD Savannah is operating on a delay, opening for students, faculty and staff at 10:30 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Memorial Day School will open at 10:00 AM tomorrow for classes. There will be staff members there at regular time for parents who must drop off their children.

- ON TUESDAY: First Steps Preschool in Rincon WILL BE OPEN tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: St. Vincent's Academy will begin classes at 10:00 a.m.in accordance with the announcement from the Chatham County School system

- ON TUESDAY: Bulloch Academy will be open for school on Tuesday, January 11. School will be delayed two hours until 10 a.m. Faculty and staff should report at 9:30 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Chatham Academy staff report to work at 9:45 am. The school will open at 10 a.m. for students

- *ON TUESDAY: Liberty County Schools and Bulloch County Schools WILL meet at their regularly scheduled times Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: Laurel Bay School will open two hours later than normal. 

- ON TUESDAY: Blessed Sacrament Catholic School opens at 10 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: EOA Head Start staff should report to work at 10am and student services will begin at 10:30 am.

- ON TUESDAY: Effingham County schools will start two hours late on due to inclement weather. Buses will pick up students two hours later than usual and students and staff will report two hours later than usual. School will let out at the normal time.

- ON TUESDAY: St. Andrew's School will have a two-hour delay. Students, faculty and staff should report at 10 a.m. Dismiss at normal times. Dress Assembly has been cancelled for Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: Hancock Day School will open two hours later. 

- ON TUESDAY: East Georgia College/Swainsboro and Statesboro campus will delay opening until noon Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: Southeastern Technical College is closed.   

- ON TUESDAY: Savannah Country Day School will have a delayed opening on Tuesday.  Students, faculty and staff will report for a 10 a.m. start of classes.

- ON TUESDAY: Montgomery County School System will be closed for both staff and students on Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School will open at 10 a.m. It will dismiss at normal time.

- ON TUESDAY: First Christian Preschool will be closed.

- ON TUESDAY: Providence Christian School on Montgomery Cross Road will open at 10 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Thomas Heyward Academy in Ridgeland is closed.

- ON TUESDAY: Child Care Networks two-hour delay for Pre-K only.

- ON TUESDAY: Bible Baptist follows Chatham County schools, and will be delayed two hours. 

- ON TUESDAY: Ramah Junior Academy in Savannah will start at 10:20 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Benedictine Military School will open at 10 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Abundant Life in Hardeeville will be closed.

- ON TUESDAY: Hampton County School District 2 is closed

- ON TUESDAY: Coastal Center for Developmental Services will be delayed two hours

- ON TUESDAY: The Program for Exception People on Hilton Head Island will have a two hour delay

- ON TUESDAY: Calvary Day School is opening two hours late.

- ON TUESDAY: Step of Faith Christian Academy in Ridgeland, SC, will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 11.

- ON TUESDAY: Memorial Day will open at regular time, but will honor anyone who cannot get there on time.

ON TUESDAY: Savannah-Chatham public schools will be opening two hours late. This includes all related bus schedules. This will not impact dismissal. Dismissal will remain on the regularly scheduled closing bell times.

ON TUESDAY: There will be a three-hour delay in the start of school for all Jasper County schools on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Classes will begin at 10:30 a.m. and students should be in class seated by 10:30 am. Dismissal is expected to remain as normal at 2:40 pm.

- ON TUESDAY: Georgia Southern University will reopen on Jan. 11 following a winter weather closure on Monday.

- ON TUESDAY: There will be no school Jan. 11, for students in Emanuel County Schools. Staff members are asked to report to work at 10 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: YMCA of Coastal Georgia's Pryme Tyme Program has cancelled Tuesday morning's before school services. Pryme Tyme after school services for Tuesday, Jan. 11 are on schedule at this time.

- ON TUESDAY: USC, Allendale and Walterboro campuses will open at 11 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2011.

- ON TUESDAY: St. Francis Cabrini Catholic School will be on a two-hour delay Tuesday.

- ON TUESDAY: Candler County Public Schools will be closed due to winter weather.

- ON TUESDAY: Montgomery County School System will be closed for both staff and students.

- ON TUESDAY: Bloomingdale First Baptist Preschool will be closed.

- ON TUESDAY: David Emanuel Academy will be closed.

- ON TUESDAY: St. Paul Academy is delayed and will open at 10 a.m. Staff should report at 9:30 a.m.

- ON TUESDAY: Beaufort County Schools will be on a two hour delay Tuesday January 11 for all students and staff. 


OFFICES ON TUESDAY: 

Gov. Mark Sanford has delayed the opening of all state government offices in all counties by two hours. The governor will examine weather conditions and consider possible further delays Tuesday morning. 

MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT Parris Island, S.C. - Due to the possibility of inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, all non-essential personnel at MCRD Parris Island are instructed to report to work at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11.  Individual employees who do not know whether or not they are non-essential should contact their supervisors. 

Chatham County Department of Family and Children Services will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. due to inclement weather.  Please put notice on the news.  You may reach me at 912-661-3649 if you need additional information. 

Effingham County DFCS will be opening two hours later (10:00am) on Tuesday, 01/11/2011.

OFFICES CLOSED MONDAY

- Because of the threat of inclement weather, Gov. Mark Sanford has closed all South Carolina state government offices in all counties.

- BB&T bank branches in Bluffton and Hilton Head, South Carolina office closing at 2 p.m.

- Statesboro Social Security Administration will open two hours later at 11 a.m.

- Due to the possibility of inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, all non-essential personnel at MCRD Parris Island are instructed to report to work at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10.  Individual employees who do not know whether or not they are non-essential should contact their supervisors. 

Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina's administrative offices and all of its Goodwill Retail Stores will be closed today, Jan. 10, due to inclement weather.

OTHER CLOSURES MONDAY

- From the office of Gov.-elect Nikki Haley: Due to inclement weather, Family Fun Night has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2011. The event will be held INDOORS at the Cantey Building at the State Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m.

-The South Carolina Department of Transportation has canceled it highway letting scheduled for Tuesday Jan. 11 due to the winter storm. The letting has been tentatively rescheduled for Jan. 18.
