BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - Two suspects were arrested on drug charges after deputies responded on reports of a woman who fell from the roof of her home.
On Thursday, Jan. 6 at 1 a.m., deputies responded to a home at Cesar Place. When they arrived, they found 37-year-old Tina York with minor injuries. Deputies say while talking to York she made several statements about killing people in her residence. They report that she seemed disoriented and confused.
Deputies talked to a second person, 32-year-old Tiffany Hale, who also lived at the home. Deputies checked out the home and found what they say appeared to be methamphetamine in small plastic bags. At that time, Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Task Force investigators responded.
Authorities obtained a search warrant at approximately 3 a.m. and a second search uncovered 18 grams of methamphetamine. They also found prescription pills that were not prescribed to either of the residents.
As a result of the developing investigation, Hale was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1/2 mile of a school, possession of scheduled IV drugs and possession of scheduled II drugs.
York was taken to the Hilton Head Hospital where she was treated and released the following day. York was arrested upon her release. She is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1/2 mile of a school, possession of scheduled IV drugs and possession of scheduled II drugs. She is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing and the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office expects more arrests.
