SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Culinary students at Savannah Technical College had a chance to meet and learn from an international pastry chef.
Stepahne Treand has spent the past two days working with the students. Savannah Technical College has an award-winning culinary program. The students just got back from winning the state competition and are getting ready for the regional competition.
"The team now has five weeks to prepare for the regional, so it's going to be hard work. Last year, we won the region so were going to try to repeat and got to the nationals in Dallas again," said Jean Vendeville, a Savannah Technical College instructor who heads the department.
Students will go to the regional competition in February.
