2 injured, charged in double motorcycle crash

SAVANNAH, GA ( WTOC) – Two people riding motorcycles were injured and charged in an overnight crash.

Just after midnight, Todd Long, 37, and Jaymie Allison, 30, were riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles north on East Gateway Boulevard, according to the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept.

Allison lost control of her motorcycle and slid across the roadway, according to police. Long was trailing behind and was unable to avoid hitting her when she lost control, causing him to also lose control of his bike.

They were taken to Memorial University Medical Center. Allison suffered life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition. Long is in serious condition.

They were charged with drunken driving and more charges could be pending, according to police.

The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Major Accident Investigations Team continues to investigate.
