Worker identified in fatal construction accident

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah authorities have identified a construction worker killed in an accident Friday while he was working on a project to build a tugboat dock on the Savannah River.

Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman Gena Moore said 52-year-old Greg Royer was killed when he was struck by a pylon that had fallen. He was standing on a sea wall at the time of the accident.

Another worker, John Pugh, was also struck by the pylon. He was listed in critical condition at Memorial University Medical Center.
