Dinner: Possible raises more than $100,000

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) – The fund-raiser to pay off the mortgage of the winning Extreme Makeover: Home Edition family has raised more than $100,000.

The Food Network's chef Robert Irvine put on Dinner: Possible for a soldout crowd of more than 600 guests. When the event began just after 7 p.m. Friday, it was announced that the goal was $140,000 rather than the earlier goal of $100,000.

Irvine was joined by several guests including Mark Summers from the Food Network's Unwrapped. The gala included cooking demonstrations by Irvine and an auction.

Donations continue to come in.
