HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Organizers of Hinesville's Martin Luther King Jr. parade didn't let the weather get in their way. Hundreds walked or rode in the parade. Those along the route said it was important to make sure the rain didn't overshadow the progress made possible by Dr. King's work.
"We have come a long way and so many of us seem to have forgotten what our fathers and forefathers endured," said Mary Fail of Hinesville.
The holiday is especially important to many in Liberty County as Dr. King spent time their during the Civil Rights Movement at Dorchester Academy.
