SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The official tournament poster for the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf this year was unveiled Tuesday afternoon at the club at Savannah Harbor. Each year students at the Savannah College of Art and Design compete to having their work represent the Legends.
The Legends gets a fresh look that will be used on billboards and marketing material and displayed in poster form in businesses all around town. This year senior Weston Vierreggar and SCAD graduate Amanda Roberts earned $1,000 to have their work become the symbol of Savannah's champions tour event.
"We just found some really strong images where they wanted to promote a celebrational atmosphere, so we got this really great shot of all these people sort of captivated, there's even a child in the shot," Roberts said.
"Our theme and goal is we want to get as many people out to the tournament as possible and we want a diverse population. we want families out there and this kind of exemplifies that," said Joe Rotellini, Legends executive director.
The ninth annual legends will be played April 22 through 24 on Hutchinson Island.
