COLUMBIA, S.C. - Governor Nikki Haley gave her first State of the State address on Wednesday evening. Her main priority are jobs and she plans to create them by bringing in companies from around the world.
The governor said boeing executives will grant more than 90- percent of their contracts to state businesses and adding this is the kind of commitment the state needs to turn around the economy.
"We will not please everyone with the decisions that we make but we must make decisions that do the least amount of harm and have the best long term effect.", said Governor Haley during her address.
The governor says her administration will hold town hall meetings throughout the state to talk issues and will keep a report card of legislative votes to hand out when a session ends.
