Beaufort motel robbed again

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) – Beaufort police are investigating the second robbery this month at the America's Best Inn motel.

At 10:04 p.m. Wednesday police were called to the motel at 2448 Boundary St. on a report of an armed robbery.

An employee told police that two men wearing ski masks and hooded sweatshirts entered the lobby demanding money. One of the men was armed with a small handgun. They fled after stealing the money.

A perimeter was set up and a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office tracking unit responded. The men remain at large.

The robbery suspects are described as two African American men in their late teens to early 20s. One was wearing a black hoodie and dark-colored pants. The other man was wearing a black and red hoodie and dark-colored pants. Both suspects are of medium build and height.

This America's Best Inn was also robbed on Jan. 3.
