SSU holding community appreciation night

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah State University is holding a community appreciation night on Feb. 10 when the Tigers take on Morris College at the Tiger Arena on SSU campus. The women's game starts at 6 p.m. and the men's game starts at 8 p.m. The cost to attend both games is $1.

The event is co-sponsored by the Savannah State University National Alumni Association and the Savannah State University Community Booster Club.

Festivities include t-shirt and prize give-a-ways, raffles for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference basketball tournament prize package and a free throw competition.

The half-time show for both games will feature the youth dance group The Seaport Lightning All-Stars. The new SSU football coach Steve Davenport will be introduced during halftime at the men's game.
