Savannah hotel owners discuss upcoming tourism season

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Many Savannah hotel owners were present at the "State of the Hotels" address Wednesday night. They heard ways to make even more people come to town, by making their stays even more pleasant.

"We experienced a terrific year in 2010, with wonderful growth over 2009 on the tourism side and we're projecting more of the same this year," said Joe Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah.

The suggestions to keep it going were keeping prices low enough to attract new visitors, without adding more hotels to the already competitive market.
