Event to mark building of new WIC clinic

LIBERTY CO., GA (WTOC) – The Liberty County Health Department is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for a new WIC clinic at Fort Stewart.

It takes place at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at 441 W. Bultman Ave., building 1183 at Fort Stewart. The existing Liberty County Health Department WIC clinic on Fort Stewart is more than 25 years old and is no longer adequate for the volume of clients who go there, according to a news release.

The new the 3,024-square-foot facility will house office space, a nutrition education room, breastfeeding room, laboratory and two waiting rooms.
