ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Jeremy Price matched his career high with 22 points and Georgia overcame a 30-point explosion by Auburn's Earnest Ross to beat the Tigers 81-72 in overtime on Saturday.

Travis Leslie had 20 points and Trey Thompkins had 16 for Georgia (16-6, 5-4 Southeastern Conference). Price set a career high with 14 rebounds.

ATLANTA (AP) - Jerai Grant scored 20 points, Demontez Stitt added 16 and Clemson used a 22-0 in the first half to beat reeling Georgia Tech 65-56 on Saturday.

Iman Shumpert scored 17 points for the Yellow Jackets (10-12, 3-6), who have lost three straight and four of five.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - John Jenkins scored 18 points, Jeffery Taylor and Festus Ezeli added 17 apiece and No. 24 Vanderbilt snapped a two-game skid by routing South Carolina 78-60 on Saturday.

South Carolina (13-8, 4-4) now has lost three of four, and this loss ties the Gamecocks with Vanderbilt at the bottom of the Eastern Division.

STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - Josh Davis scored 13 points and Gregg Wooten had all 12 of his points in the second half to lead Samford over Georgia Southern 58-50 on Saturday.

Ben Drayton scored 16 points for the Eagles (4-21, 0-12), who lost their 12th straight.

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Senior Jesse Wheeler's three-pointer with 24 seconds left helped the Armstrong Atlantic State University men's basketball team fend off Francis Marion in a 79-75 Peach Belt Conference win on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena.

With the win, the Pirates (13-7, 7-5 PBC) take over sole possession of second place in the PBC's East Division, while Francis Marion (13-7, 6-6 PBC) suffered its second straight loss after winning four in a row.

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Francis Marion University women's basketball team built a 19-point second half lead, then held on for its seventh win in a row in Saturday's 75-70 Peach Belt Conference victory over host Armstrong Atlantic State University at Alumni Arena.

Mauri Wells finished the game with 18 points and a season-high-tying 15 rebounds for her second straight and ninth overall double-double of the season.
