JEKYLL ISLAND, GA (WTOC) – St. Simons Christian School students are visiting the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to get inspiration for their artwork that will be sold during the Turtle Crawl Triathlon in May.

The visit is part of an effort by the Jekyll Island Authority and the Jekyll Island Foundation to reach out to schools to participate in the art project.

Students will create and donate their original works of art depicting sea turtles that will be matted, framed and sold during the May 20, Turtle Crawl Triathlon Spaghetti Dinner.

Proceeds from the artwork sold will benefit the research and educational efforts of the GSTC.
