Deputies seek three assault suspects

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary and assault that happened on Philips Drive.

Deputies responded to home invasion around 9:30 p.m. on Monday night and when they arrived met with a 29-year-old male victim who told them he had just been attacked by three unknown white men. The victim reported he was sitting in his living room when he heard loud noises coming from the front of the house. The victim went to see where the loud noise was coming from and noticed the front door was kicked in and three white men standing in the doorway.

The sheriff's office says the three suspects hit the victim in the head and face with an unknown object. After the attack, all three suspects left the area in dark-colored four-door vehicle. Nothing was taken from the home and the suspects did not go past the entryway of the home.

The victim had minor head injuries and was taken to the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. Investigators have not been able to determine a motive for the attack and the descriptions of the suspects were vague.

The three suspects were described as white men between the ages of 17-25 all around 5'08". One was wearing a long-sleeve yellow t-shirt and dark colored jeans. Another was wearing a dark-colored hooded swearshirt and dark jeans and the third was wearing a long-sleeve white tshirt and dark colored jeans.
