Man with Alzheimer's found safe

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said that a missing Alzheimer's patient has been located.

Richard Hopkins, 75, had walked out of a dentist office at 11 Medical Arts, while his wife has getting treatment.

Hopkins was spotted by a Chatham Area Transit bus driver. Police had set up a perimeter and started their search and CEMA search and rescue were responding.

Just after 3 p.m., CAT bus driver Marcai Champen spotted Hopkins at 52nd Street and Skidaway Road and alerted police.
