CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) - You can't nominate one without out the other. Last week we introduced you to a third grade teacher who goes above and beyond for her students as part of a two-person team.

We return back to Claxton Elementary School to meet up with the other half of the dynamic duo. Third grade teacher Julianne Hearn is this week's Top Teacher.

"I teach social studies, reading, language and part of the writing," said Hearn.

Julianne, originally from Glennville and a graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy, says she always knew she always wanted to be a teacher.

"I believe when we touch a child's life that we are serving the lord and certainly take that very seriously," said Hearn.

Twelve years later Julianne's teaching philosophy still remains the same.

"It's very special to see how throughout the your career how you thought you loved children with all your heart when you first started and how you just continue to grow and change and your heart grows for each child,"said Hearn.

Stephanie Fountain, also a WTOC Top Teacher, is Julianne's co teacher.

"She's a fantastic role model she practices what she preaches and she walks in the school with a smile on her face and she treats her students like they are her own-like she would want her children to be treated," said Fountain.

Students like Avery Greer agree, which is the reason he nominated her.

"She's an energetic teacher and plays with us and makes us laugh," said Greer.
