Police investigate shooting on Savannah's westside

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah Chatham police are looking for a suspect in the city's latest shooting.

Officers were called to Savannah's westside around 11:30 Wednesday night on a report of a man down. Police found Romaine Brown, 29, shot at Eagle and Love streets. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center.

Violent crimes investigators were at the scene gathering evidence to help find the shooter.

Brown had surgery but his condition report is unknown at this time. Drugs were found at the scene, according to police. It's unclear if they are related to the shooting.
