LIBERTY COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - The Liberty County Health Department will break ground on a new women, infants and children clinic at Fort Stewart on Thursday. The current WIC clinic is more than 25 years old and too small for the current number of patients.
The new facility will include a nutrition education room, breastfeeding room, laboratory and two waiting rooms.
The ground breaking ceremony will be held at 2 p.m.
WIC is a federally funded nutrition education program that helps women and children improve their health outcomes.
