SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Robert Foster, 44, has been denied bond by a Savannah judge.

Foster turned himself into authorities last week after beating his ex-girlfriend, Shannon Anderson, in the head with a hammer. Police say Foster returned to a home that he and Anderson were sharing after she asked him to move out.  Anderson told police she finally just laid there and played dead and Foster then took off in her burgundy Chrysler Voyager.

Foster faces charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and parole violation.  He's due back in court later this month.
