Police seek 14-year-old runaway

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are looking for a 14-year-old boy who ran away from the Coastal Harbor Health Systems on Monday afternoon.

Police say Isaiah Godfrey was sent to the institution from Kentucky and ran away from the center at  Cornell Avenue and Waters Avenue just after 5 p.m.

Coastal Harbor is a private residential treatment center for children and adolescents. Police say Isaiah is struggling with emotional problems. He was last seen wearing a white jacket with a black logo and a multi-colored T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Police say he could be trying to get to Florida where his mother lives. They advise he has been known to seek help in churches and truck stops.

Anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Isaiah is asked to call their local authorities or the SCMPD Special Victims Unit at 912.651.6742.
