Smoke still hasn't cleared from a South Carolina fire

HARTSVILLE, SC (WTOC) - The Agrium Rainbow Fertilizer Plant was still sending smoke into the air over Hartsville, just outside of Florence, Tuesday night.

Officials are worried the smoke and flames could be sending hazardous chemicals into the air but haven't found any evidence that the smoke is harmful.

Still, crews spent some 18 hours fighting the fire after the plant erupted late Monday night.

Around 50 people worked at the plant and now state officials are trying to find them new jobs.

Still no word on how that fire started.
