SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - If you're going to be flying out of Savannah this week or picking up passengers, you'll want to give yourself some extra time.
Construction crews will be working to improve the roadways at McKenna Drive and Airways Avenue near the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
Electronic signs and flagmen will be in place to alert drivers when traffic will be affected, according to airport officials. Traffic will be diverted while the project is going on but airport officials said the delays should be minimal.
The improvement project is expected to be completed in mid-June.
