SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A lot of folks got out and looked for the "luck of the Irish" on Sunday.
Thousands of families showed up for the annual Irish Festival at the Savannah Civic Center. There was a lot of entertainment such as traditional celtic music and folk dancing.
Organizers such as Chris Hagan say this popular festival has been going strong now for 19 years.
He said they "came up with the idea of something separate from the parade that was also everything that was behind the culture itself: the music, the dance, and we have a cultural stage of historical presentations and things of that nature. Just to share all of that culture with our children."
Although Sunday was the last day of the festival - the Irish celebration will continue until the big Saint Patrick's Day parade.
