Students showcase work at Ga. Tech Savannah science fair

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – An estimated 100 middle and high school students from are participating in the Georgia Tech Savannah Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

The Regional Science and Engineering Fair takes place Feb. 21, 22 and 23 at the Georgia Power building.

Students will demonstrate and discuss their projects Tuesday with a panel of judges. Judges consist of 100 local business professionals, engineers and faculty from area colleges and universities.

Awards are presented to the top category winners and overall top projects in several categories including animal sciences, biochemistry, computer science, earth science, engineering, environmental, and physics. In addition to awards given by the Science Fair, local and international organizations donate Special Awards to students who excel in specific areas of research.

The names of the award winners will be posted at 10 a.m. Feb. 23 on the Georgia Tech Savannah Regional Engineering and Science Fair website:
