CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) – Youth leaders from Chatham, Liberty, Long and Toombs counties will gather March 5 at the Howard Jordan Building on the Savannah State University campus for the 2011 Tobacco Prevention Youth Summit.
The summit aims to empower young people to advocate for tobacco-free school policies. It is being held by the State Tobacco Youth Prevention Program in conjunction with the Coastal Health District.
More than 100 youth representatives are expected to participate. Summit leaders will help the young participants learn leadership skills that will allow them to advocate for tobacco-free school and park policies in their community.
