PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) - The Westview Nursing Home held its fifth annual Ms. Westview Pageant on Tuesday night. All 11 contestants received a trophy. And in the end, 86-year-old Vera Crosby was chosen as this year's Ms. Westview. One of the questions she answered was, "What was the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?" She said seeing her husband coming home from the Navy after the war, but now this ranks right up there.
"I think its fabulous and like I say it's now the happiest moment of my life. It beats off that sailor coming home," Ms. Westview 2011 Vera Crosby said with a laugh.
Groves High School JROTC presented the colors and WTOC's morning anchor Mike Cihla served as emcee.
