Fuel surges nearly 25 cents over last week

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Average retail gasoline prices in Savannah have risen 24.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.32 per gallon on Sunday, according to SavannahGasPrices.com.

That is higher than the increase of the national average, which rose only 17.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.34 per gallon.

Prices on Sunday were 63.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 31.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, according to the website. The national average has increased 25.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 64.9 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
