War of 1812 replica ship visits Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah River will have a tall and historic guest this month.

the tall ship LYNX "America's Privateer" is sailing into savannah Wednesday and will be docked at the harbor for the rest of the month.

The ship is replica of a schooner from the War of 1812.

The LYNX is 76 feet long and is 23 feet wide. the ship's crew will wear period uniforms and operate the ship as it would have been done in the 19th Century.

The LYNX will be docked at the Savannah Riverfront Harbor until March 28th.

Public tours will be offered as well as sails, but each of those are only offered on certain days. Here's the schedule:
