FORT STEWART, GA (WTOC) – Fort Stewart is holding an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Year competition this week.
It takes place at 1 p.m. on March 2 and is the first since Sept. 11, 2001, according to Fort Stewart. Three teams of three EOD Soldiers each are competing to be the best at EOD at the battalion level. Soldiers go through scenarios where they have to defuse scenarios. The scenarios will take place on the EOD range.
The competition includes completing EOD missions, weapons qualification, a road march and more. The winner will move on to Fort Campbell, Ky., for the EOD group-level competition.
